Terms of use
These terms apply when you use WaterLove or this website. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
Planning guidance, not permission
WaterLove scores forecast conditions to help you plan. It is not a safety service, a navigation aid or professional advice. It does not know local laws, closures, private property, posted restrictions, or hazards such as currents, boat traffic and rip currents. You are responsible for your own decisions and safety, and for checking current conditions and official warnings before and during any activity.
Data from others
Forecasts, alerts, tides and observations come from public sources, mainly the National Weather Service and NOAA, and maps and place data from OpenStreetMap and the U.S. Geological Survey. They can be late, incomplete or wrong, and so can WaterLove’s scores built from them. See Data & Sources.
No warranty
WaterLove and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise they will be accurate, uninterrupted or free of errors.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, IdeaLove LLC is not liable for any injury, loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, WaterLove or this website, including decisions about whether, where or when to go on or near the water.
Subscriptions
Premium is sold through Google Play. Google Play’s terms govern payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds, and you manage your subscription in Google Play.
What you share
If you choose to share something with us, such as a place name, a note or a tide station correction, you allow IdeaLove LLC to use it, without payment, to improve our data and our apps, including showing it to other users without your name. Please do not share anything that identifies other people or that you do not have the right to share. Our privacy policy explains what is shared and how.
Fair use
Please do not misuse our apps or this site, interfere with how they work, or copy them for resale.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina, and you agree to their jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date above shows when they last changed, and continued use means you accept the update.
